British 1831 pattern General's Mameluke sword with ivory slat grip, brass quillon with rank insignia to centre, decorated blade with Queen Victoria cypher and sword knot. In metal scabbard with loops on crucifix holder and leather belt with sword slings, the belt buckle inscribed Commissariat and Transport Staff with lion above and Queen's crown. The leather cross belt with pouch and Major General rank epaulettes. Formerly the property of Commissary General Latham William Blacker, who had a distinguished military career and retired in August 1886 after approximately 34 years service

George III sabre by Runkle Solengen A George III 1796-Pattern Light Cavalry Officer's Sword, the blade with single broad fuller, remnants of part blued and gilt finish, engraved to the obverse with crowned GR cypher between pendants and lambrequins and to the reverse with the Royal coat of arms between flowers and trophies of war, engraved maker's mark, ''T.T. Runkel, Solingen'' to the back, the steel stirrup hilt with ornate langets, the quillon with scroll terminal, wirebound fishskin grip, in steel scabbard. The scabbard marked, 'R Johnston late Bland & Foster Sword Cutler and Belt Maker to His Majesty St James's St London'. Blade length 29.25in. (74.3cm)
