A NAVAL OFFICERS SWORD. A naval officers sword and scabbard with swordbelt and swordknot. George V period with the name on the blade of W J Waterer of 38 Carnaby Street, London, W1. Kings Crown and fouled anchor on the blade also in the hilt guard cypher. A light 31.25" blade, brass and leather scabbard.
A FRENCH NAVAL SWORD. A late 19th early 20thC French Naval Officers sword and scabbard. In the classical form of gilt floral and anchor device hilt, black hardwood grip and oval pommel. Lightly curved single-edged 27.5" blade, with double fullers and spearpoint, scabbard in leather and brass needing repair etc.

Single-edged slightly curved light blade of 28.5" with double fullers and spearpoint tip. Brass and leather scabbard with anchor decoration, in need of repair etc.
A 19THC NAVAL OFFICERS DRESS SWORD. An East India Company naval officers sword with rampant lion above a slanted anchor on the guard, again above an anchor on the blade. Lions head pommel folding guard and sword knot with gilt and leather scabbard. The 29" blade is very clean with foilage decoration and has the mark Silver & Co, 66 Cornhill,London. They are listed as working at this address 1839 onwards, later becoming Silver & Benjamin 1899-.
A KATANA IN SHIN GUNTO MOUNTS. The signed tang reads Tsuda, Echizen, Kami, Suke, Hiro, then dated Yempo-7th year (1679) . A smith of that name was working in Settsu around that time. In Shin Gunto mounts with Mon inset, steel scabbard and 25.5" blade, some light edge damage evident. See Illustration.
British Naval dirk by Osborn and Gunby the scabbard etched with GR crowned monogram as well as navel iconography, thistles, roses, and clover, the curved blade etched, blued and gilded with scrollwork and a maiden, the bone grip terminating with lion mask, early 19th century, (2) 43cm length of blade.
