British B2 Fairbairn Sykes (F.S) Commando Dagger Attributed to Kenneth B Bancroft “C” Squadron SAS Killed in Malaya 1953, fine example with blackened brass grip, oval cross guard stamped with broad arrow and “B2”. Housed in its original leather scabbard with blackened brass lower chape and leather leg tabs still present. Double edged stiletto blade measuring 16 ½ cms, overall 33cms. Accompanied by a photograph of his grave and copy of the book “One of the Originals – The story of a Founder Member of the SAS” where the action in which he was killed is detailed. Also a photostat image of him during WW2 with his collected war booty. Kenneth B (Digger) Bancroft was a Corporal serving with “C” Squadron in Malaya. The account states, “To the west, however, we suffered a tragedy when another patrol under the command of Corporal Digger Bancroft ran into an ambush. Digger who was in the lead, was killed and Trooper Willis behind him was also shot. Fortunately the rest of the patrol reacted promptly, engaged the enemy and drove them off”. It also goes on to state that a helicopter was sent in to retrieve the bodies and one of the people who retrieved the body was Bill Speakman VC. Current vendor acquired the dagger from the family of Kenneth Bancroft.

WW2 British 2nd Pattern B2 Fairbairn Sykes (F.S) Commando Dagger, good example with blackened brass grip, oval cross guard stamped with broad arrow and “B2”. Housed in its original leather scabbard with blackened brass lower chape, leather leg tabs and top section with cloth tape strap. Double edged stiletto type blade retaining much of the original blued finish. The blade measures 17cms, overall 31 ½ cms.
British 3rd Pattern Fairbairn Sykes (F.S) Commando Dagger, with one piece ribbed grip. Broad arrow stamp to the top of the handle and cross keys motif to the bottom. Plain oval cross guard stamped “WD”. Double edged blade, measuring 17cms. Housed in a leather scabbard. Accompanied by a British P1913 Bayonet complete with original scabbard. (2 items)
German WWII K98 Bayonet Both scabbard and bayonet have matched serial numbers (8985a), matched maker (Clemen & Jung) dated 1939. Marked with correct Waffen code WaA253. The leather frog is dated 1942 made by O. Reichel, Lengfeld. It is very unusual to find such an early example with its matched scabbard and in such good condition. The letter "a" suffix denotes that this is bayonet is from one of the very first batches. The bayonets pommel and scabbard have been painted red, with lovely bluing on the blade.
German Imperial sword having lions head pommel and wire twist grip with a single fuller 34in blade and black Japanned metal scabbard CONDITION REPORT No makers marks. Blade is 34ins long and scabbard is 35ins. No jiggle, no dents to the scabbard. Neither are bent out of shape. Grip wires are in tact.
Two 20th century bayonets complete with scabbards. Condition Report: In our opinion, reproduction. Blade of small bayonet carries mark, as does handle/blade of larger bayonet (see images). Scabbard has dents, serial no on scabbard reads 64196, blade reads 67047. Press studs move. Blade not bent. Scabbard also not bent. Long blade bears inscription 'Mse Ormes le St Etienne Juillet 1876' (see image).
