German 1889 pattern sword with Imperial cipher to folding guard, 89cm decorated blade inscribed Ulan Reg Hennings Von Treffenfeld (Actmark) No 16, with scabbard, belt clip and leather strap. British 1845 pattern officer's sword attributed to Captain Durham Plomer, King's (Liverpool) Regiment, with brass hilt, shagreen and wire grip, VR cypher to hilt, Henry Wilkinson and no 29426 to decorated 84cm blade and scabbard, with research paperwork. Alfred Durham Plomer was born in India on 1868 and educated at Cheltenham College and the Royal Military College from 1888. Captain Durham Plomer was wounded at Bergendal and reported missing on 28th August 1900.
