Metal items to include an elaborate beaten copper Arts and Crafts door plate with dragon motif (length 70 cm/27.5 inches), maximum width 35.5 cm/14 inches), c. 1890s - 1910, an old brass door handle, a decorative Art Nouveau beaten copper door plate, c. 1900 - 1920, a very large bronze door key with bow in the form of a striking double dragon or gryphon motif (length 29 cm/11.5 inches, with damage to the bit) a decorative dagger in silver scabbard with Arabic inscription (Syrian or Lebanese? - some damage to the inlaid hilt), and an old Lebanese car licence plate (late 20th century?) Bowie knife. Circa 1886 with horse head pommel which is Sheffield plate - stamped, as is the cross guard. Handle made of ivory ( ivory licence number LEWNLLF5) . The blade is just over 10.5 inches in length and embossed , 'Call on me, in time of need' and 'You will find a friend in deed' The makers mark look to be 'E. Etres' The knife has a total overall length of around 16.5inches. With a leather scabbard which has shrunk, the knife is housed in a wood and velvet lined case, which is around 19 inches by 6.5inches. Sold in its original fitted case. Please note-this item can not be shipped outside the UK.
