A good example, the blade with double fuller, bearing original Eickhorn squirrel logo and etched either side with fouled anchor and floreate decoration. Gilded brass eagle and swastika pommel and fouled anchor ornamented crossguard; wire white celluloid twist grip. Housed in gilt metal lightening bolt scabbard with oakleaf bands retaining two loose rings and secured with spring clip. Grip wire replaced, blade dull. Scabbard seam dented and split near chape.

Two piece black chequered composition grip inlaid with red and white enamel HJ swastika diamond. Housed in black painted scabbard with black leather belt loop. Plating on grip AF, badge a replacement. Introduced in 1933 with the motto “Blut und Ehre” appeared on the blade. Motto discontinued in August 1938.

Nickel plated turn up quillon and pommel with two piece black chequered composition grip inlaid with red and white enamel HJ swastika diamond. Housed in black painted scabbard with brown leather belt loop retaining press stud securing strap. Some service wear, enamel defective, width of blade reduced by sharpening. Introduced in 1933 with the motto “Blut und Ehre” on the blade. Motto discontinued in August 1938.

German Third Reich SA Stormtrooper’s trade dagger. A good clean interesting example with nickel mounts, the blade etched “Alles für Deutschland”. Black wooden grip with applied silvered eagle and enamelled circular SA device. Housed in original brown painted scabbard with nickel plated mounts, unusually each only fitted with one screw, with single loose suspension ring with black leather suspension and RZM marked spring clip. GC These were made at the end of the war, in all shapes and sizes, from maker’s left over pieces to exchange / trade with opposing forces for food and cigarettes.

Black turned ebonised grip with applied silvered star bearing black enamel swastika (Slightly AF); the langet bearing stylised eagle and swastika. Plain blade. Housed in its black nickel mounted scabbard with hanger which now bears RLB enamelled star. Minor service wear and slight lifting to plating in areas. Generally VGC RLB was the Air Raid Precautions.

Minor service wear, VGC NSKK (National Socialist Motor Corps) wore standard SA daggers from 1933 until 1936 when black scabbards were adopted.

Back of grip impressed “795 Leipzig”. Minor service wear. GC. Introduced in February 1938 and discontinued in 1940.

Housed in its black leather scabbard with plated mounts and housing replacement skinning knife. GC

Nickel plated turn up quillon and pommel with two piece black chequered composition grip inlaid with red and white enamel HJ swastika diamond slightly chipped. Housed in black painted scabbard with brown leather belt loop missing securing strap. Heavy service wear, blade has been sharpened reducing length to 11.5 cm. Introduced in 1933 with the motto “Blut und Ehre” on the blade. Motto discontinued in August 1938.

Housed in black painted nickel mounted scabbard with single suspension ring, complete with worn suspension strap (M5/25) and belt loop. A little wear to plating. GC

Blue leather grip with black enamel swastika to centre of down swept crossguard (stamped ‘K’ on the end) on either side, numbered A112 on side of swastika mount. Double edged polished blade bearing faint oval maker’s logo. Housed in original blue leather and nickel mounted scabbard, with single suspension ring and complete with strap and belt clip; scabbard throat stamped with winged Icarus and swastika device, B84 and 33. One chape screw has been absent for many years. VGC

Scottish. Leith Volunteer Rifles 5th VB Royal Scots Battalion Pattern Sword. An unusual Battalion variation of the regulation Rifles, Light Infantry pattern sword. The blade with etched decoration of a Crowned strung bugle, bearing the title “Leith Volunteer Rifles”. The reverse with the owners initials of entwined “EVR”. The forte with the retailer’s name of “Marshall & Aitken Edinburgh”. The hilt is of the Rifle pattern, but with the Battalion distinction of a Crowned regimental device. Retaining shagreen grip, with twist wire binding and housed in original steel scabbard. The blade remains clean with minor marks, plating to hilt and scabbard dulled with some rusting.

The gilt hilt of the regulation pattern with folding guard. The shagreen grip with twist wire binding surmounted by a lion head pommel. Housed in gilt brass mounted leather scabbard. The blade with some staining a pitting spots. Chape to the scabbard split.

Bechuanaland Protectorate Police Officer’s Sword. A rare Elizabeth II period example by Henry Wilkinson of London, which closely follows the British Army Infantry style. The blade is etched with a Crowned EIIR cypher with floral decoration. The hilt with an open bar guard incorporating a Royal Coat of Arms and title “Bechuanaland Protectorate Police” The shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in polished field service scabbard, knot and sword frog. One small area of the blade with rust spot, otherwise very good clean condition.

5th Royal Irish Lancers Officer’s Regimentally Etched Bladed Sword by Wilkinson. A scarce example by Wilkinson of London. The bladed etched with a Regimental device of the 5th Lancers, also the original owners name “G.B. Atkinson”. To the forte the Wilkinson trade mark and to the back of the blade the number “43049”. The hilt with honeysuckle design guard and the shagreen grip retaining twist wire binding. Scabbard absent some wear to the plating. The Sword was made in 1911. At the outbreak of the Great war it appears that Lt G.B. Atkinson was serving with the Reserve of Officers attached to the 5th Lancers. He landed in France on the 19th September 1914.

Victorian Infantry Officer’s Levee Pattern Sword. A regulation example, with narrow blade, this etched with a crowned VR cypher. This repeated to the regulation pattern guard. The shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Complete with steel scabbard with two loose rings. Some age wear, etching faint.

Irish. Victorian King’s County Rifles Militia 3rd Bn Leinster Regiment Officer’s Sword. A good example of the Regulation Light Infantry pattern Officer’s sword. The etched blade with a Crowned VR cypher and the Regimental title of “King’s County Rifles”. The forte with the retailers details of Richardson & Co. Dublin. The hilt of the regulation pattern incorporating a Crowned strung bugle. Shagreen grip with twist wire binding and housed in its steel scabbard. Approximately half the blade is in Very good clean condition the lower 1/4 with small blistering and some pitting. The King’s County Rifles Militia under Lord Rosse; became 3rd Bn. Leinster Regt. on 1st July 1881

The forte marked “Waffenfabrik Mauser AG Obernoorf an”. Back edge with faint 1915 date. Steel turn up quillon and flash guard to the hilt. Wooden grooved slab grips. Housed in its steel scabbard. Complete with brown leather frog. Good clean condition some service wear.
