The blade is etched with the motto "Mehr Sein als Scheinef" and bears stamped maker's details. Brown wooden grip, with nickel plated crossguard top mount; housed in its olive drab painted regulation scabbard complete with original brown leather frog stamped ‘E. Luneschloss / Mainz / 1938.' Minor service wear, generally VGC National Political Educational Institute (Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalt) was an SS-run organisation to provide future leaders.

Housed in original brown painted scabbard, the top mount with single suspension ring retaining brown leather hanging strap, the spring clip stamped with RZM logo, "M5/71" and OLC diamond logo (Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid), and belt loop. Plating slightly starting to lift but generally VGC SA (Sturmabteilung) "Brown Shirts" dagger introduced in 1933.

German Third Reich SS Model 1936 chained dagger. A scarce, correctly unmarked, example. The double edged blade bears etched motto "Meine Ehre heist Treue" (My Honour is Loyalty). Black wooden grip with inlaid silvered eagle and swastika and enamelled SS Sigrunen. Housed in black anodised scabbard with plated mounts, the middle band ornamented with interlinked stylised swastikas. Complete with chains of alternate SS Sigrunen and death's head links, one link marked with SS stamp on the reverse. Fittings with some rust marks, pitting and slight lifting to plating in parts, blade polished so motto faint. Chape dented and split.

Complete with steel scabbard. The overall condition is good with age wear.

Blade in fine condition, minor wear to plating of the steel scabbard. The lack of Boer War Battle Honours to the blade would date the sword Circa 1900-1905.

He resigned his commission in 1913 only to be recalled the following year with the outbreak of the Great War. He served in France being promoted Major in 1915. Later that year he was would by an exploding shell. After recovering he served as a Staff Officer in Egypt. In 1935 he was appointed High Sheriff of Warwickshire.

Housed in its original steel scabbard, fitted with two loose rings and is complete with a rare polished brown leather field service scabbard and special pattern brown leather sword knot. Overall Near Parade Condition.

Life Guards Officer's State Pattern Sword by Wilkinson A superb Elizabeth II period example, the single edged spear point blade with cutler's name of Henry Wilkinson London and is etched with a Crowned EMIR Cypher and battle honours, the last being for WW2. The reverse again with Crowned Regimental Crest. The plated guard is mounted with entwined gilt metal letters LG. surmounted by an Edward Crown and bears gilt metal stud decoration. Shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in original steel scabbard with gilt metal mounts and two loose rings. Complete with white buff leather guard liner and sword knot. The back of the blade with MOD issue numbers. The sword is in near parade condition.
