BAYONET: An original WWI First World War era German Ersatz bayonet, within the original scabbard. Approx 44cm long. NOTE: From an impressive private collection of original bayonets - ranging from Victorian to Second World War. Collected by the vendor since late teens, this is the first time this collection has appeared on the market. Most bayonets are in generally good condition, and have been well cared for etc. Buyers are reminded to satisfy themselves as to individual condition of lots prior to bidding.
WW2 German SS Officers Chained Dress Dagger, black ebony handle having inserted eagle and enamel SS runes. Scabbard is fitted with hanging chains with SS acceptance stamp to the reverse. Blade etched with the motto “Meine Ehre Heist Treue” and early style Carl Eickhorn trade mark to the base. We are of the opinion that this dagger has been constructed in the post war years with the use of some original and some reproduction parts. Probably produced in Eastern Europe in the late 1990’s. Ideal as a space filler for a collector. We advise all clients to view the item and make sure they are satisfied with what they are buying. Item is sold not subject to return.
