dating: last quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Russian Empire, Curved, single-edged blade, two fullers through all the length, one wide and another narrow near the back; fine, gilt silver grip entirely decorated with strongly relieved beads, except the two foils near the blade, the two ring-nuts of the grip and the frame of the pommel which are smooth and decorated with nielloed, geometrical motifs, same decoration on one stud and a shield-shaped plaque. Wooden scabbard with black leather covering (small defects) with silver mounts decorated with bass-relieved floral motifs at the front, partially gilt and nielloed (small parts missing), smooth and nielloed at the back. The cap decorated with a beaded frame, a nielloed inscription at the back, a band provided with two long, winged plaques carved en suite with the other mounts, chape with a small drag. Scabbard also provided with a leather belt with gilt and nielloed silver mounts. Elegant shasqua, silver stamps '84' on the grip and an unclear symbol, probably depicting two crossed anchors (Saint Petersburg?). length 94.5 cm.

dating: About 1630 provenance: France, Consisting of a cuirass' helmet, complet bust, culet, knee-cop and brassards (missing thumb at one of the knuckle-shields). Interesting, very heavy helmet consisting of a two halves with low, twisted crests, a rectangular hole at the center. Chanfrin with raisable, sharpened brim with lowered border and twisted edge, a strong nosepiece provided with a big lily engraved with the loop and provided with a wing screw. The lower blade added later, smooth beaver. Two-plate neck-guard and nape-guard. One-plate gorget. Chest ribbed at the center with a small tapul, gusset and neckline raised and twisted, the upper part engraved with two sharpened lines. Smooth back. Brassards complete with handles. Interesting, sixteen-plate knee-cops shaped as a crayfish tail fixes by clasps featuring wing screws. Two culet plates. The armour is uniformly decorated with carved waves featuring dots at the center of each semi-circle. Brass rivets. Remains of the original scabbard are still visible, as well as some coeval leather strings. Other leather strings from a restoration. In good condition, only a very small damage on an elbow-piece. In patina, need polishing. height circa 135 cm.

(the remaining part not clearly legible) at the back. Beautiful, steel hilt finely carved on a gilded background, shell-guard with royal monogram 'FR' under crown with cartouche and flowers, 'S'-shaped quillons decorated with floral motifs in bas-relief. Magnificent ivory grip, majestically carved in the round in the style of Hans Peter Oeri with bear, wild boar and a deer twisted with bloodhunds. Wooden scabbard with dark-green, leather covering (small damages at the border) featuring steel mounts and cap carved and engraved with deer in cartouche on a gilded background, also provided with a carved and gilded hook, decorated with a trophy on gilded background at the back. Chape decorated with floral motifs, partially gilded on both sides. Probably made by Frantz Bourgeois, Real Manifattura of Naples. This beautiful hunting hanger belonged to King Ferdinando IV of Naples, it probably was a gift for his crowning. The king really appreciated those richly carved amrs, and a fine example is a pair of important flintlock pistols given to the young king around 1768 and kept at the Metropolitan Museum in New York with inventory number 26.259.5.6. length 78 cm.
