A leather scabbard with a trio of tortoiseshell writing accessories probably early 20th century, the dark red leather scabbard with gold gilt floral and star decoration, having three sleeves, the upper compartment containing a paper knife with metal blade; the middle a pair of scissors having steel blade and the bottom section holding a page turner, the page turner measuring 13¾in. (35cm.) long, together with a faux tortoiseshell cigarette box. *Condition: The paper knife with split to tortoiseshell handle by bottom metal pin, some wear to upper blade, otherwise pieces good with very little wear, box coming away at edges.
A Victorian 1822 pattern infantry officer's sword with Guernsey named blade the 82.25cm single edge fullered steel blade etched with crowned VR cypher and foliate decoration, with Proof poincon and maker's name ' W. D. TORODE GUERNSEY ', the brass gothic hilt pierced and cast with crowned VR cypher, with hinged guard, wire bound fishskin grip, lacks scabbard. *Condition: Lacks scabbard. Blade has been rusted at some stage and has been cleaned and polished - therefore some wear to decoration, scratching and dulling throughout. A few small patches of loss to fishskin grip. Front wire biding a little loose. Some brass polish residue around grip and hilt.

Leather covered scabbard with nickel silver mounts. Early pattern scabbard with staple covers. Original linked hanging chains to the scabbard with clip mount. Double edged plain blade with makers trade mark. Very good overall condition showing just light wear to the exterior fittings. The dagger is accompanied by a post war signed photograph of Gunther Rall and a signed declaration, gifting the dagger to Herbert Schreiber.
