An incredibly rare original WWII Second World War Lancaster Bomb-Aimer's Bomb compartment arming switch panel. Service used, the switch panel features various official Air Minstry markings, and would've been used in a standard bomb aimer panel in an Avro Lancaster . The unit, whilst showing signs of wear and use, appears to be in full working order with all switches still locking, and the 'mode selector' still turning. Supplied upon a specially commissioned presentation wooden base which has been autographed by two 617 Squadron bomb aimers - John Bell and George Johnny Johnson (both adding their awards, and squadron numbers). A fascinating and spine-tingling piece of aviation history.

Comprising: a photograph of Benny Goodman (adding ' 617 Pilot'), a photograph signed by John Bell (the photograph taken from a film of Bell's story) who has added ' Remembering the Stabilised Automatic Bomb Sight ' to his autograph, a photograph of Russell ' Rusty ' Waughman present-day, wearing his original Lancaster pilot's uniform seated in the pilot's seat of a Lancaster (adding ' 101 Special Duties' to his autograph) and a composite photograph of Dambuster and Bomb-Aimer George Johnny Johnson (Adding ' MBE DFM ' to his autograph). A unique and interesting collection of autographs.

Autographed to the lower border by Dambuster George Johnny Johnson who has added ' Unseen enemy below!' to his autograph, and 617 Squadron Bomb Aimer John Bell. Unframed. Measures approx; 45cm x 30cm.

The tin has been autographed / signed to the top by three Bomber Command crew members - Pilot Benny Goodman, Bomb Aimer John Bell and Dambuster George Johnny Johnson. Supplied with a photograph (from the film maker's archives) depicting all three alongside a replica ' Tallboy ' 12,000lb bomb - also signed by those named.
