A William III walnut eight day longcase clock, the 12 inch square brass dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, subsidiary seconds and dated aperture, five pillar movement with anchor escapement striking upon a bell, W.48cm H.213cm**CONDITION REPORT**Overall looks to be in very good clean condition, probably restored within the past 10 - 20 years or so, colour is a good mid to dark walnut tone, trunk door has probably original lock and working key, dial in good order with just a little light oxidisation to the silvering, movement looks good, trunk door with later? 14cm lenticule, original lock and working key, comes with pendulum and two brass cased works, box foot possibly reduced and certainly on later plinth.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place. A George III mahogany eight day longcase clock, with plain case and arched silvered dial, engraved with flowers, strike silent, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell, W.49cm H.214cm**CONDITION REPORT**Overall in good condition, the case of a rich reddish brown mahogany tone, a little lighter on the trunk door, probably had some sort of finials at one time looking at the holes in the top of the hood, escutcheon to hood door is loose with no key for the original lock, dial and movement in very good clean condition just a little oxidisation on some of the silvering, comes with pendulum and two cast iron weights, trunk door has a small loss to the top left corner, lock has a working key, base of the case looks to have been reduced.PLEASE NOTE:- Prospective buyers are strongly advised to examine personally any goods in which they are interested BEFORE the auction takes place. Marti & Cie, the case sides with ormolu straps cast with acanthus leaves and swags, shaped base on four knopped feet, height 37.5cm, with pendulum and key (1 + pendulum and key) (Condition report: the ormolu seems to be all intact, the top section of the clock from the cornice up is not screwed together properly and slides about when the clock is being moved, the movement is overwound, the clock will run for a very short time before stopping, it is chiming on the correct hour, there is a sizeable chip to the front left corner below the cornice with other small chips to corners and edges over the case)
