William Lauder Pather - an early 19th century mahogany longcase clock, the arched brass 12" dial signed to arch disc, with dolphinium spandrels, silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, engraved centre with subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture, twin winding holes for a brass eight day four pillar weight driven movement striking on a bell, the case having bowed door over a boxbase, h.222cm. Restored and re-polished.With fixed metal back/wall plate.Scuffs throughout; upper arch, centre left body spindle, feet etc.With key, pendulum and weights, but no winder.
A 19th century onyx and gilt metal mounted mantel clock, the case surmounted with a pedestal urn and having lion mask and ring capitals, the indistinctly signed dial with Roman numerals, twin winding holes for a French brass eight day cylinder movement striking on a bell, the plinth inset with a gilt metal cherub scene, all raised on acanthus leaf capped scroll feet, h.34cm
A Chinese bronze archaic bell, Zhong, decorated in the manner of Eastern Zhou Dnasty examples, 28cm high CONDITION REPORT: Thought to be a 20th century example. Decoration appears rather crude and in low relief. No obviously concerning condition issues to the body however the handle shows some losses and holes (see images). General surface abrasions, scratches and signs of wear. See further images for clarification.
A George III eight day oak longcase clock, with silvered Roman numeral dial signed 'Jno Oliver Manchester', the matted centre with date aperture and subsidiary seconds and movement striking on a bell, in oak case with bracket feet, 206cm H CONDITION REPORT: The movement may not be original to the clock, the seat board is very thick and in two section (one later to the other). There some holes in the back plate which do not appear to be currently used and a shadow from where a former bracket may have been, The movement may have been altered.
