A well engineered 2in scale model of a Shand Mason Horse Drawn Fire Engine, built by Mr J.B.Nickolls from Edgar T Westbury drawings and Reeves castings. The model with copper boiler having 'J' tubes, normal fittings, twin cylinder engine with cylinder head lubricators, scotch cranks, eccentric driven feed pump and stop cock, twin spoked flywheels and twin direct coupled water pumps with change over lever, water tanks, suction and delivery hose. Chassis and body details include spoked wooden wheels with metal rims, turning lock, coal bunker, drivers seat with brass rail to back, box body with foot rest, brake gear, bell, two branches and lamp backets. The model finished in red and black paintwork with brass plate inscribed 'Shand Mason & Co. Engineers, London. 14in wide x 22in long

A fine 18th Century mahogany longcase clock, the eight day movement with five pillars, anchor escapement, rack striking on bell, escapement linkage to rocking 'Father Time' in arch with cobalt blue and gold star background, the 12in dial with silver chapter ring, roman numerals, quarter and half hour divisions, tooled centre panel with chased doves and scroll work to date aperture, silver acorn panel with makers name Joseph Hocker of Reading, The arch dial with cast queen spandrels surrounded with engraved borders. The movement set in a fine quality mahogany case of London influence, the trunk flanked by reeded columns with brass inlay and capitals, the hood of similar design with three brass finals. 235cm high.

BEROLLA & HENRY MARC A PARIS AN UNUSUAL STRIKING CARRIAGE CLOCK having an eight day movement with an unusual skeletonised platform lever escapement peculiar to Berolla, striking the hours and half hours on a bell with outside countwheel strike, the engine turned silvered dial with black Roman hour numerals, subsidiary seconds dial at XII o'clock, decorative gold hands and scratched on the back with the name of the maker 'Berolla' along with the serial number '1681', the brass case having a turned handle, solid back with shuttered apertures for hand setting and winding, and signed by the retailer 'henry marc a paris', with a regulation lever to the top, height 19cm.
