1934 August 9th envelope from Charles Bell to his family in Bexhill, endorsed "Through British Trade Agent Gyantse", franked with KGV 2a6p orange tied by "Gyantse/Tibet" cds (Hellrigl B16) and backstamped with Tibet 1933-60 part pin perf 2t, fine. Note Charles Bell joined the Indian Civil Service, caught Malaria and was hospitalised in Darjeeling, he learnt Tibetan and mentored the exiled Dalai Lama. He retired from the Sikkim Agency in 1918 though was recalled by Lord Curzon in 1920 to support Tibet's economic, educational and military development
