EVERTON Folder with Everton crest on the front published by The Sun containing 12 sketches of 11 Everton players plus manager Harry Catterick. Each sketch measures 8 " x 10" and players include Ball, Royle, Kendall, Harvey, Labone etc.(Address written on cover). Along with a caricature pencil drawing of Bunny Bell, signed "Yours sincerely Bunny Bell" who was Everton reserve centre-forward. Generally good

Woodes) A Cruising Voyage Round the World: first to the South-Sea, thence to the East-Indies, and homewards by the Cape of Good Hope, second edition, 5 folding engraved maps, contemporary ink signature of Sam. Rouse at head of title, lightly soiled and stained, small tear to upper outer corner of U3, maps trimmed close and with a few short tears to folds, bookplate of Jorge Skinner-Klée, contemporary tree calf, gilt, red roan label, rubbed, corners a little worn, head of spine chipped, [Sabin 72754], 8vo, for Andrew Bell...and Bernard Lintot, 1718.⁂ Famous account of privateering in the South Seas. Rogers set sail from Bristol with William Dampier as his pilot and travelled along the coasts of Chile and Peru seeking out Spanish prizes. He landed on the Juan Fernandez Islands in order to shelter from a severe storm and there rescued the marooned Alexander Selkirk, the inspiration for Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe.

M[athewes]. for Thomas Iones [, and are to be sold at the black Rauen, in the Strand], 1623.⁂ Second edition, published in the same year as the exceedingly rare first edition (we can trace only one copy of the first edition at auction since 1975, the Bradley Martin copy sold in 1990, and three copies of this second edition). The work contains 'Nunc lento sonitu dicunt Morieris', with the lines: No man is an Iland, intire of it self; every man is a piece of the Continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the Sea, Europe is the lesse, as well as if a Promontory were, as well as if a Mannor of thy friends, or of thine owne were; Any mans death diminishes mee, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tols, It tols for thee.'

Circular enamel dial with Roman numerals in an unusual leaf and scroll cast case, crested with a laurel wreath and scroll. Flanked to one side with a figure of Shakespeare seated on a stool, holding a quill. The other side with theatrical trophies, on a white marble two-stage moulded-plinth. Under glass dome. 17.44" x 23" (46cm x 56cms). (1)

Enamel dial with Roman numerals, flanked to one side with a seated woman with floral garland and a sheaf of wheat on her lap, her right hand holding a sickle. On an ornate base with various trophies. Raised on scroll legs. 13in (33cm)h x 17in (43cm). (1)
NINETEENTH CENTURY FRENCH GILT-METAL AND PORCELAIN MANTEL CLOCK GARNITURE. Movement by Japy Freres of Paris. Circular floral decorated porcelain dial with Roman numerals, surmounted with a porcelain and gilt metal urn finial, flanked to either side with two cherubs. Outside count wheel which strikes a steel bell. Conforming base with gilt plinth. TOGETHER with a pair of matching urns with fixed covers and ornate gilt metal mounts, in the form of female mask and floral swags. On a conforming base. The clock, 14.5” (37cm) high x 13.5” (34cm) wide. The urns, 13.5” (34cm) high. (3)
AN ATTRACTIVE THREE PIECE FRENCH GILT METAL MANTEL CLOCK GARNITURE, the clock movement with outside count wheel, striking on a steel bell, with two handled urn finial. The circular porcelain dial with roman numerals and the centre panel depicting a landscape, crested above with a ribbon bow and the drum with hanging floral swags and leaf sprays, on a conforming breakfront base. 12.5" (32cm). Together with a pair of matching porcelain and gilt metal mounted urns, each on four legs. 13" (33cm). (3)
A VERY FINE EDWARDIAN INLAID PLUM PUDDING MAHOGANY WARDROBE. Dentil moulded cornice above a frieze inlaid with floral-swags and ribbon bows. Centre cupboard doors each inlaid with urns and bell flowers inside an oval floral border. The interior with shelves above an arrangement of four long and three short drawers. Flanked to either side with two bevelled mirror doors, each enclosing a shelf and hanging compartment. Raised on front square tapering legs. 7ft (208cm) wide. (1)
