Glass excellent. Porcelain panels good, approx. 1% gilt loss only. Case good, no apparent breaks of losses. Gilding good and appears original. Clock is very heavy. Overall excellent example.

Has been overhauled in the last 25 years. Seatboard is replacement. In working order. Some lacquer losses to door and fine vertical split.

A late 19c lantern clock with single fusee movement, the chapter ring signed John Fordham, Dunmow, no.132. The lacquered brass case has an overhanging chapter ring and serpentine steel hands and is surmounted by three dolphin frets and a bell supported on straps. The movement has a passing strike on the bell, 15 tall overall.
A late 18c eight day longcase clock by Peter Hunter of Allon, the 13 arched brass dial having a silvered and engraved dial centre with scroll and urn spandrels and a strike silent lever in the arch. It has unmatched steel hands and seconds and date indicators. The movement is of standard construction having anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell. It is contained in a mahogany case with swan neck pediments to the hood with a central finial and fluted freestanding columns flanking the dial. The long trunk door has a wavy top and a boxwood edge line inlay and is flanked by fluted quarter columns. There is a rectangle of chequer inlay above the door and the quarter columns have line inlay below them. The base has canted corners and a rectangle of line inlay with indented corners and a wavy plinth, 86 tall overall.
A 20c carriage clock, the white rectangular dial signed Charles Frodsham, London and having Roman numerals and moon hands. The two train movement has a lever platform escapement and strikes on a bell. It is contained in a glazed brass corniche style case with cast carrying handle, 6.75 tall overall (handle raised).
