A FRENCH GREEN ENAMEL MOUNTED GILT METAL MANTEL CLOCKLate 19th Century The 3 3/4in green enamel dial with Roman numerals, twin train movement striking on a bell, signed T. Martin Paris, the case surmounted by a coronet, 43cm highCondition report: No pendulum or winding key with this lot. Dirt and dust to the case. Several of smaller oblong panels to the side of the case are repaired and repainted. See additional images. The chain at the from is formed of two sections and the central ring securing the chains to the ring above the medallion is bent out of shape and therefore loose. Another two chains area loose to the side of the crown finial area and need to reconnected to the fixed ring. The dial with a small chip to the winding hole, hands are a little oxidised. The movement has not been checked, no guarantee of its working order and a qualified clock restorer is recommended.
