Nina Colmore, B.M.E., 1889 - 1973 Dog Portrait, "A very fine portrait of a hound, "Godfry" near a fence, with extensive landscape beyond," O.O.C., 46cms x 61cms (18" x 24"), signed and dated 1936, in gilt fame. * Signed on canvas by Duke of Beauford, Garden Foster & some other friends, and with presentation inscription on reverse, from Isaac 'Ikey' Bell, another of 'A Huntsman's Log Book,' London 1947. A George III mahogany cased eight-day longcase clock, the arched dial with strike/silent to the arch and subsidiary seconds and date aperture, signed Ayns'th Thwaites, London/Note: Ainsworth Thwaites is recorded in G H Baillie, Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World as admitted to the Clockmakers` Company in 1735, gaining his Freedom in 1751 and working from Rosoman's Row until 1780/see illustration Condition Report: Bell top split, the painted glass panel loose, blue glass sides (one cracked at corner)possibly later, pillar capitals loose on right hand side, later paperwork to back of hood, case missing veneer in places, the sides with indentation and scratches. Base in need of restoration owing to damp. Face in need of a good clean. Spandrels also tarnished. Later hands. Movement in need of a clean. No consideration is given to the authenticity of the movement.

A rare TRIX OO gauge locomotive and tender, produced only in 1939. A LMS Coronation class 4-6-2 tender locomotive ‘Coronation’, RN 6220. The engine is in its original streamlined form, with a lamp and bell above the smokebox faring, to replicate the tour of the USA in 1939. Finished in Crimson Lake livery, with yellow lining. Streamlined 6 wheeled tender in the same livery. In a replica plain card box. The locomotive and tender are VGC, perhaps possible re-touching to locomotive lining. Plate 1
A 17th Century Bronze Mortar, possibly Whitechapel, London, inverted bell shaped with a band of scroll and shell decoration below the rim and to the waist, on a spreading foot, 19cm wide, 15cm high For a similar mortar see Finlay (Michael) English Decorated Bronze Mortars, pg 66-70. John Clifton (fl.1632-1640) and Anthony Bartlet (fl.1640- 675) used similar motifs. Typical knocks and scuffs associated with age and use.
