White dial with Roman numerals, painted gilt spandrels  and oval hand painted plaque above the dial depicting a maiden awaiting the return of her lover's ship. Painted makers name "Broon" of Burton. Glazed arch door with broken arch pediment over with brass finial and scroll caps. Tapering brass columns with brass ends flapping the door. Oak case with panelled plinth. Brass pendulum on rod, weights suspended on wire. Footplate fixed to case. Winder and key with us. Overall height 223cm. Width of Hood 50.5cm. Dial 13inches/33cm.

French Four Glass mid 19th Century crystal regulator in a rectangular brass case with sculptured architectural plinth and cornice mouldings. Bevelled glass panels to sides. White enamelled dial with black roman numerals and blued steel moon hands. An 8-day two train movement, stamped Hy Marc Paris,  striking the hours and single strike to the half hour on a bell. Adjustable twin-flask mercury compensated pendulum. Backplate stamped with registration number 60183. With key.
