A dark green bell-shaped 'onion' bottle with pontil base and tapering neck, iridescent surface, flange to the rim; sealed with original contents intact; supplied with a period corkscrew. 1 kg total, 15-17cm (6 - 6 3/4"). Property of a Suffolk collector; formerly acquired on the European art market in the 1990s; found in a sunken boat in a Dutch canal. [2] Fine condition.

Note: Born in Zimbabwe in 1962 Rozanne Bell lived & exhibited her work all over Southern Africa and, through tourism, an American market for her work developed. As her style has evolved she has developed a strong international following. In 2002, the political climate in Zimbabwe necessitated Rozanne's move to England. The ability to adapt to a new environment coupled with her determination to succeed has created strong demand for her work here in the UK.
