Rather dusty and grubby. Face grubby, some minor wear.

Brass face with gilded spandrels, silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals, seconds dial and date aperture. The face 12" square approx. 8 day two train movement, striking on one bell. 205cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall in good condition commensurate with age. Minor wear and tear and losses but decent overall. The base has been reduced with a later skirt applied. Includes; two weights, winder and pendulum. Length of door 103 cm Approx.

The face with convex Roman dial, gilt painted floral spandrels, seconds dial and date aperture. 8 day two train movement striking on one bell. 225cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Includes two weights, pendulum and winder. Appearing generally in good condition commensurate with age, some minor wear, knocks and bumps in places. The face is crazed and with minor wear.

Arch painted dial with buildings and river scene, Roman numerals, seconds dial and date aperture. 17.5 x 12.5" approx. 8 day movement striking on one bell. 226cm high approx. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Rather scruffy, worn and a bit grubby. Splits to panels on the base. Includes two weights and pendulum.
18th Century 30 hour oak longcase clock marked Joseph Vale of Bristol, the hood with flat top and moulded cornice above square aperture, the waist with starburst inlay to the plain moulded edge long door on a checker strung panel base. Brass dial with gilded spandrels and Roman chapter ring having date aperture. The dial 10.5" square approx. 30 hour movement, strikes on one bell with baluster pillars. (B.P. 21% + VAT) Overall the case is in fair condition, needs some attention but no obvious serious damage. The face is quite badly discoloured and will require cleaning. Includes single weight and pendulum.

A RARE LATE ELIZABETH I STEEPLE CUP AND COVER with a deep conical bowl, chased with a row of scallop shells below fleur-de-lys and a vacant shield cartouche against a matt ground & above a calyx of alternating stiff leaves and fruit, the baluster stem with adornment, supported on a bell-shaped foot, chased with fleur-de-lys above a formal moulded border, the domed cover chased with a row of scallop shells above row of fleur-de-lys against a matt ground, the steeple chased with chevrons and terminating in a turned finial, flanked by three scrolls, inscribed under the foot "EX DONO IO: WALTON ARCHIDIACONI DERBIE 1603", the whole with traces of gilding, maker's mark "AB" conjoined, London 1602; 10.9" (27.7 cms) high to rim; 16.9" (42.7 cms) high overall; 23.4 oz Provenance: This cup was presented to the owner's grandfather as the prize, when his horse "DON SANCHO" won the Irish Grand National in 1928 and sold with the cup is a small inscribed disc relating to its presentation. It was also catalogued as part of a Loan Exhibition of Old English Plate and Decorations and Orders at 25 Park Lane and Seaford House, in March 1929 (catalogue No. 794)
