λA George III silver pap boat, by Hester Bateman, London 1788, marks partially lost in decoration, oval form, later foliate decoration on a matted background, gilded bowl, length 11.7cm, plus a George III silver eight bell baby's rattle and whistle, baluster form, foliate decoration, with hinged ring and a coral teether, length 12.8cm, approx. total weight 4oz. Great War 9th Battalion Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers 1917 Casualty Victory Medal, awarded to “20235. PTE. J. MCALLISTER. R.INNIS.FUS”. Missing ribbon but in good condition. Accompanied by a casualty Allied Victory medal awarded to “29301 PTE. J. HORROCKS. R.A.M.C.”, missing ribbon but remaining in good condition. (2 items) John McAllister, was born in 1894 in Drumanard, Co. Antrim and lived with his Mother and Father working as an Agricultural labourer in Ballymultrea, Salterstown. At some point after the outbreak of WW1, McAllister enlisted into the 9th Service Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and served in the Western Front with them from the 5th October 1915. It is likely that he would have gone ‘Over the Top’ with the battalion on the First Day of the Somme, when the battalion was tasked with attacking Thiepval, suffering 477 casualties and temp. Captain Eric Bell being posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross for his actions on the 1st of July 1916. McAllister was later killed in action on the 9th September 1917, whilst serving in the trenches near Hermies, and is buried in Hermies British Cemetry. Private James Horrocks served in the First World War with the 1st/1st Welsh Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps. He died on the 29th September 1918, and is buried in Jerusalem War Cemetery.

Oak mahogany long-case clock, swan-neck pediment, the hood with turned and fluted columns, short door with oval shell inlay, flanked by quarter fluted columns, on a plinth base, 12" square painted dial with floral spandrels, Roman numerals, subsidiary date aperture, signed J. Wilson, indistinct place name, 30-hour movement striking on a bell, 213cm.
Various Headdress Plates. Three unidentified metal plates in the form of Trophies of Arms, believed to be for musicians' Regency or Bell Top shakos c.1816 - 45, with a note stating that these appear to be unofficial shako-plates, originally bought by AR Cattley and purchased at auction by the vendor in 1951; together with two smaller badges, possibly for a "Pork Pie" forage cap.
