A Bronze Ormolu and Marble Striking Mantel Clock, early 19th century, surmounted with an enrobed maiden flanked by goats and winged cherubs to the base, later 5-inch enamel dial with Arabic numerals, twin fusee movement with verge escapement and striking on a bell, strike/silent selection, floral engraved borders to the backplate, 50cm by 38cm 30.05.13, Case with fading to the ormolu surfaces throughout, goats with rubbing to the surfaces, base with chips to the marble edges and the beaded applied metal work is loose, the drum shaped case sides which holds the clock movement has some extra vacant holes to the sides and possibly due to this the movement could have been later added into this case, later added dial to the movement, dial plate and movement front plate with extra vacant holes, movement needs cleaning, clock is fully wound at present and not striking, movement needs servicing.

A Mahogany Striking Table Clock, signed Thos Reid, Edinburgh, circa 1790, inverted bell top with carrying handle, glazed side panels, 8-inch brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, dial centre signed and with date dial, arched with strike/silent selection, twin fusee movement converted back to verge escapement and striking on a bell, backplate signed within engraved floral border, secured by brackets, 56cm high 08.05.13, Case has been restored to the surfaces and polished throughout, the inverted bell top looks to have been re-built at some time, side glass panels have been replaced, wooden feet have been later added, front and back door glasses have been replaced, front door top frets have been later added, underside of the clock case with two vacant holes which would appear to have been movement securing holes at some time, dial looks clean, later hands, movement backplate looks slightly dirty and needs cleaning, two vacant small holes to the front and backplate next to the escapement arbors and this appears that the escapement has been converted from anchor back to verge escapement, movement in going order at present.

An Oak Eight Day Longcase Clock, T Mawkes, Belper, circa 1800, swan neck pediment, mahogany crossbanded trunk door, 13-inch painted arched dial, seconds and date aperture, arch with rolling moonphase, four pillar movement with attached falseplate stamped Byrne, anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 219cm high 23.05.13, Case has been cleaned throughout and has lightened in parts, case with some chips to the edges in parts, hoor door with some later added veneer, plinth with the skirting replaced and the feet are missing, dial has been totally re-painted, some crazing cracks and slight re-touching to paint work, movement looks slightly dirty and needs cleaning.

An Oak Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed Thos Radford, Leeds, circa 1770, broken arched pediment, mahogany crossbanded trunk door, 12-inch arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed, dial centre with seconds and date aperture, arch with rolling moonphase, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on a gong, 232cm high 22.05.13, Case with chips to edges and scratches, hood with a later added finial, gilding to the column capitals have faded and with some damage, hood door with later applied knob, trunk door very slightly bowed, lock is later, left hand side of the lock with a new piece of wood added, a piece of wood has been added above the plinth, front panel of the plinth with a crack and is lifting, some veneer is lacking, skirting is later added and the feet are missing, structure of the base and the bottom of the trunk is weak, case backboard with cracks, dial is dirty and has faded, dial also with scratches, later seatboard, inside both cheeks with new pieces of wood added to support the side cheeks, movement needs cleaning, now converted from striking on a bell to a gong, third wheel pivot is broken.

A Walnut Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed John Barry, Manchester, circa 1740, arched top pediment, crossbanded trunk door, 12-inch arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring signed, matted dial centre with seconds, date aperture and ringed winding holes, arch with silvered plaque inscribed Sic Transit Gloria Mundi, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel striking on a bell, 246cm high Case has been polished throughout, case with small chips in parts to the edges, hood with some new pieces of wood added, plinth appears to have later feet added, dial with a silvered chapter ring slightly discoloured, movement looks complete and clean.

Dial and movement circa 1720, case later.

A mid 18c British hook and spike thirty hour wall clock, the unsigned 8"square brass dial having cherub and crown spandrels, Roman numerals and a single hand. The `bird cage` movement is chain driven with anchor escapement and long pendulum and countwheel striking on a bell.

A late 19c French figural mantle clock in gilded spelter case depicting two cherubs flanking the central clock who are examining sprays of roses. They are seated on a raised base decorated with cast swags of flowers. The clock dial and the body of the urn surmounting it are similarly of blue porcelain and the clock is countwheel striking on a bell (pendulum missing). It stands on a shaped giltwood base, 18" long overall, the clock and base 17" tall.

A box of assorted plated wares to include card tray with Masonic inscription "Lodge of Fidelity No. 3 Worshipful Brother Ron Allen Sigr Treasurer of the Lodge from 1968-1989 presented by the Worshipful Master Wardens and Brethren in appreciation of his services to the Lodge 11th October 1989", together with a soup ladle, table bell, lidded mustard, etc., and a hinged box in the form of a sweet stamped "925", etc.

A 19th Century square piano by John Broadwood & Sons, in mahogany and rosewood case with fretwork carved embellishments on turned and octagonal square shaped supports to brass caps and castors, bears labels "John Broadwood & Sons ....", "Sold by Wood & Co. Aberdeen" and "Broadwood early square piano. This piano belonged to the Cartier family for 120 years. It came into the family through marriage to a Miss MacDowell. In 1997 it was sold by Susan and Nellie Cartier to Heather Pountney Prato" CONDITION REPORTS Size approx. 81 cm deep x 180 cm wide x 90 cm high. General wear and scuffs conducive with age and use, split to front cover, some repaired splits to carved fretwork, all except one of the keys appear to be in working order and the piano generally appears to have been well cared for / well looked after, however, mechanism may require some attention, and piano will require tuning. A section of moulding missing to the top to the back right (not visible when the piano lid is open), some slight fading in areas but overall colour appears to be reasonably good. Serial numbers written on the keys : No.61625 (circa 1852 - 1860). There was an appraisal carried out on the piano in September 2010 (please see photo attached) which also states that the piano was sympathetically restored in 1975 by JD Young of Aberdeen, and which states "the first key signed Mr Arthur and the treble key at the break H Bell with the serial number".
