A collection of silver Chinese objects. The lot to include a Chinese baby charm. The charm having a crescent form. Chinese characters and pattern to the front and back. The charms are often given to babies when they reach their one hundredth day of life as a sign of good fortune for their future. Also included in lot, a silver perfume bottle brooch with a screw top lid, together with a silver bell/rattle charm. Unmarked, however tests indicate silver. Total weight 58g. Longest measures 13cm.

A George III oak and mahogany 8-day longcase clock by William Rubottam (Robottom) of Tarporly, Cheshire, circa 1770, twin swan neck scrolling pediment, frieze lacquered in blue and gilt, 18.5inch x 13.5inch arch shaped brass and silver chaptered dial, moonphase, date aperture, Roman hourly numerals, Arabic outer 5-minute numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, engraved makers name, twin windup keyholes, 8-day movement striking to a bell, flanked by gilt top reeded pilasters, on fretwork above a serpentine top panel door enclosing two weights and pendulum, flanked by gilt mounted quarter reeded pilasters, moulded base, raised on short ogee feet. 225cm H x 51cm W x 26cm DNote: William Rubottam (Robottom) worked in Tarporly, Cheshire, in the late 1760’s and 1770’s. He recorded working in Liverpool based at 20 Redcross Street, between 1790-96.

Ca. 4th century BC. A Daunian lebes gamikos - "marriage vase" with an inverted bell-shaped body and its characteristic pair of horizontal strap handles set on either shoulder. The mouth with a raised rim on which rests a discoid lid with a knobbed handle. The vessel sits on a low, circular foot. Both, the body and lid are decorated with a red-painted design of circumferential bands and petaloid motifs.
