R.N.V.R.) very fine (8) £100-£140 --- William Henry Stuart Yeomans was commissioned as Midshipman into the Royal Naval Reserve on 24 April 1917 and served during the Great War in the Armed Merchant Cruiser H.M.S. Partia when she was sunk on 13 June 1918 by UC-49, after being torpedoed in the Bristol Channel, with the loss of 16 lives. Alfred Walter Pargetor, a Labourer from Tysoe, Warwickshire, attested for the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve on 13 June 1916 for service during the Great War. Advanced Acting Leading Seaman on 5 November 1916, he served in H.M.S. President, in Defensively Armed Merchant Ships (D.A.M.S.) and was shore demobilised on 30 July 1919. James Edward Thornton, a Grocery Branch Manager from Halifax, Yorkshire, was born on 17 December 1899. He attested into the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve on 21 June 1917 for service during the Great War and served in H.M.S. Queen and H.M.S. Caesar. He was shore demobilised on 14 July 1919. Sold with named hallmarked silver Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes medal.

A late George III mahogany chiming table clock, circa 1820, the triple pad top breakarch case with curved brass fret panel above 20cm painted dial, signed 'Handley & Moore London', two further fret panels below and arched brass scale side frets, the triple fusee movement chiming on 8 bells and striking on a further bell, all on brass bracket feet 46.5cm high with handle foldedsome repolishing and refinishing to the case. Appears to work, chime and strike OK, but movement not tested for duration and accuracy. See photos.

London', strike/silent to the arch, date aperture above VI, engraved foliate spandrels, twin fusee movement converted to anchor, foliate scroll engraved backplate, on ogee feet 47cm high with handle foldedProvenance:Chillesford Lodge, SuffolkThe clock has a conversion from verge to anchor, and altogether now looks rather tired and in need of tlc. Mounts have lost their finish. A few chips/losses to case veneer in places, and some old paint spatter. Movement plates with a few empty holes but movement seems to fit. Dial looks OK, hands not a great colour. Possibly associated to case - retaining brackets adapted in shape. Hood door lacks pins/screws to lower hinge. Not currently wanting to tick for any duration, but noisey strike sounds correctly when hands are advanced at the hour. Sold 'as seen'.

MACINTYRE & CO; 'The Bell Edmonton Jug', in blue (The Diverting History of John Gilpin), with panel depicting a scene outside The Bell Inn, printed marks to base, height 17cm. CONDITION REPORT: The base is crazed, there are various scratches, small scratches to the jug. The gilt rim is rubbed. Crazing to the interior of the jug. Otherwise appears good.
FORMULA ONE; a vintage silver Stadium Achilles crash helmet signed by twenty motor sport personalities to include, Jackie Stewart, Richard Attwood, John Surtees, Derek Bell, Martin Brundle, Stuart Graham, Tiff Niddell, Barry 'Whizzo' Williams, Sterling Moss, James Haydon, Hans Hermann, Giacomo Augustini, etc, these were collected at the Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed over a four-year period between 2010 and 2013, also a photocopy of the helmet being signed by one of the personalities.
