A rare early 19th Century French gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock depicting 'The Oath of the Horatii', the fine bronze figural surmount depicting the three Horatii brothers (symbols of ancient Roman valour), armour adorned, each with an arm outstretched over the altarpiece facing their father, set on rectangular plinth base and cast with a gilt bas-relief of the brothers fighting the Curiatti. The 4 inch gilded dial with Roman numerals and signed Grellier a St Pre Martinique, the engine turned centre twin train drum movement with silk suspension and outside count wheel strike on a bell, signed 'Cleret', 61cm. An 18th Century English porcelain coffee pot and cover Restored, decorated in underglaze blue with a figure of a long Eliza beside a flowering prunus bush and a figure holding a basket of fruit with a bell shape cover raised upon a circular foot. 26.5cms CONDITION REPORT: Lot 1733: Cover - repair to the flange, measures 5.5cm x 1cm, small chip to edge of rim, minor chip to finial. Pot - extensive hairline / cracks running in a v shape from the curl of the handle to beneath the spout and one running vertical through the long Eliza figure, the smaller figure to the right of the handle surface graze down to the brown body.
