A rare vintage WWII Second World War RAF Royal Air Force related bronze hand bell, the collar stamped ' C. 11G - N. W. RAF 4.G '. Possibly for North Weald Airfield in Essex. The bell of typical form with wooden handle and large cast bell to end. Unusual and interesting piece of WWII history. Measures approx; 30cm tall.

Margaret Kemplay Snowdon "Still-life II" - fruit and kitchenware on a table, signed and indistinctly dated; with inscription on a Bloomsbury workshop label verso, oil on canvas, 44 x 59cms, in frame. NB: M.K. Snowdon was born in 1878 in Leeds and was active as a painter between 1918-1938, she died in Cheltenham in 1965. Details of her life seems sparse, but she may have been the fellow student and close friend of Vanessa Bell, usually known as "Margery Snowdon/Snowden" and referred to as "Old Snow" by the Virginia Wolfe.
French Clock Garniture. A pink marble and ormolu mounted clock garniture. The case of rectangular form, surmounted by a seated cherub holding a torch, together with a pair of matching candlesticks. The twin train, 8 day movement, having count-plate strike at the hours and half-hours on a bell. The back plate marked 2888, with a circular stamp of a star surrounded by AD Mougin, deux medailles. The white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and blue Arabic numerals to the outer edge, with pierced and engraved brass hands. Height of clock, 12.5'', height of candlestick 7''.

A French brass barometer in the form of a bell, the body of the clock is embossed with rinceau bands of scrolled, fruiting and flowering vines and quatrefoil profiles containing half-length figures, accompanied by Latin inscriptions quoting the Lord's Prayer 'PATER NOSTER IN COELIS' (our father in heaven) and the blessing 'DOMINUS VOBISCUM' (the lord be with you) with its response 'ET CUM SPIRITU TUO' (and with your spirit). At the centre of the bell, there is a circular dial displayed behind a glass lens inscribed "Barmoetre Aneroide" which is encircled by a bezel decorated with leaves, the top is fitted with a single handle, lacking feet, 18.5cm high
