An early 19th century Indian steel barrelled military style flintlock long blunderbuss or musketoon, 43½" overall, slightly swamped bell mouth barrel 28" with octagonal breech and three shallow flutes to the muzzle, slightly rounded Brown Bess lock with swan neck cock, the plate stamped with crown over "GR" and "Tower", varnished fullstock with chequered wrist, the butt carved on one side with floral decoration, with military pattern brass mounts and steel ramrod. GWO & basically GC (heavily rusted patina to lock and barrel, the side plate incomplete). £300-400

A George III mahogany eight-day repeating bracket clock, by Ellicott and Taylor, Royal Exchange, London, the 7¾in (19cm) enamel dial with Roman numerals and inscribed below a 'concealed' brass seconds dial and N-S lever, the twin fusee repeating movement striking the hours on a bell, the backplate engraved 'Ellicott & Taylor, London' within an engraved border, the case with an arched top, brass pierced fish scale panels, carrying handles and brass ball feet,31cm wide19cm deep45cm highEdward Ellicott was of the third generation of a distinguished line of London clockmakers. His grandfather, the eminent John Ellicott FRS (1706-1772), was succeeded by Edward Snr and Jnr. The partnership with John Taylor was formed in 1811. He was free of the Clockmakers' Company in 1795 and later Master. He died in 1835. Condition ReportIt appears the clock was restored in 2013, thus it seems in good order. The working order of the movement is not guaranteed. Complete with winding two door keys.

Foot rim 6.9cm. Some scratching/slight cloudiness. Some wear to the underside edge of the foot rim.
A small unmarked silver communion cup with paten,16th century, probably East Anglian,the inverted bell-shaped bowl engraved with a band of trailing foliage between two plain bands, raised on a short trumpet stem terminating in a slightly domed foot, underneath the foot is an old label 'Elizabethan, probably Norwich',7.3cm diameter, cup 11.1cm high, 13cm high overallCup - Engraved band good. There is a split to the bowl of about 2cm. The base of the bowl is uneven and has an old repair and the cup doesn't sit flush on a flat surface.Paten - The edge is repaired and uneven, of thin gauge and the knop has been erased.

General wear, knocks and scratches to the hood and the case. Split to inside of the door. Damage to backboards, with a later baton applied. Case appears cleaned and re-finished. Areas of wear to the silver dial. Scratches and marks. Ticks and chimes when wound, however a little eratically and we would recommend inspection by a professional. Tarnish and discolouration to brass. Associated winding key present.
