Severs - Ripon's Clockmakers, Clockmaking in a Former West Riding Market Town, see pages 40-57 There is a further write-up about this particular clock by Leigh Extence of Fine Antique Clocks, which presents evidence that would indicate Gilbertson 'bought-in' from the workshops of the well regarded maker John Taylor of London
