Bell Scott painting his murals at Wallington (then the home of a Trevelyan aunt); also included in the lot is an interesting earlier Victorian journal of Frederic Wilson (at Leeds Grammar School,later in holy orders), and a Churchwarden's letter-book (Lt. Woolstone, Newport Pagnell), 1839-73

He was apprentice to Robert Halstead at The Crown and Dial in Fleet Street, London for seven years in 1714.
