Edmund Jermyn; 51pp. of the Life (mounted on leaves of an old album) & approx. 100pp. of letters, photographs (etc.), upon some of which the account is based. * a parish priest in England & the West Indies, later Bp. of Colombo; a worthy but dull offering - little is mentioned of the subject's life outside the round of diocesan meetings, synods, etc. apart from his penchant for photography - and the biographer watching Wm. Bell Scott painting his murals at Wallington (then the home of a Trevelyan aunt); also included in the lot is an interesting earlier Victorian journal of Frederic Wilson (at Leeds Grammar School,later in holy orders), and a Churchwarden's letter-book (Lt. Woolstone, Newport Pagnell), 1839-73

He was apprentice to Robert Halstead at The Crown and Dial in Fleet Street, London for seven years in 1714.
