Good antique ebonised three train bracket clock, in architectural arched case fitted with gilt coronation columns, the arched gilt dial with pierced overlay work fitted with a silvered chapter ring and two further subsidiary dials, the movement fitted with eight bell movement on a gong with engraved back plate, key and pendulum, 47cm high
2nd Regiment of Foot Bell Top Shako Centre 1829-1844, interesting centre section in the form of a silver star with battle honours on the rays, Salamanca, Pyrenees, Toulouse, Vittoria, Nivelle and Peninsula. To the centre a pierced strap with the motto and Paschal Lamb, which would have stood over a number 2, blue enamel backing now mostly absent. Above the strap is a Sphinx on Egypt tablet within a laurel wreath. The badge has at one time been made into a ladies buckle. An illustration of this plate can be seen in Kipling & King Fig 49.
Good quality George III mahogany longcase clock, the arched hood with brass finials above glazed door flanked by triple column corner pilasters, the arched door with similar triple corner pilasters and a plinth base, raised on moulded bracket feet, the brass and silvered dial inscribed John Lawson, Bradford, with Arabic and Roman numerals, subsidiary moonphase, seconds and calendar apertures, with a two train four pillar movement striking on a bell, overall height 106ins
Figured walnut longcase clock with square hood with moulded cornice and fretwork frieze above flanking barley twist pilasters, the rectangular panel door with pendulum window and conforming plinth base, the gilt brass dial with mask head spandrels, silvered chapter ring, Arabic and Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture,signed Thomas Pare, London, the two train six pillar movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell (the dial and movement of 18th Century origin, the case of later date)
