In 1711 he avoided Stewardship of the Company as he was "Out of Town", He Died in 1719.

RAF Battle of Britain 1940 Scramble Bell with small type engraved Air Ministry AM & Crown and the date 1940. Bell is complete with the original striker / clapper. This bell is the large size type. Often these bells were painted red and some of the red paint can be seen in the engraved section. Broad arrow marking to the top. This bell has original iron suspension loops For a wooden frame, made by Nicholson Bell Factory in Bridport. Bells of this type were used in WW2 during the Battle of Britain on all air fields to scramble fighter pilots to the air to meet the incoming enemy raiders.
