A Regency well figured mahogany and brass mounted bracket clock by Robert Bunyan Lincoln, with twin fusee movement striking on a bell and with anchor escapement, the brass carrying handle to the top with tortoiseshell beneath. A Georgian mahogany bracket clock by John Kirkwood Redpath, with two train chain driven fusee movement with anchor escapement striking on a bell, the brass dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary Arabic numerals. Height excluding brass carrying handle 44 cm, width 29 cm, depth 19.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The case is in generally good condition with no significant issues. There are some minor surface marks and scratches but no serious problems. There has been some very old damage to the front right hand bottom corner of the door. This is not problematic. There are other minor stress fractures but the colour is generally good. We have the key and pendulum. The clock is not currently operating as the fusee chain to the going train is detached from the main barrel so some attention is required. If weight is applied to the going train the movement does tick. The movement appears to have had some work in recent times and is very clean but does require further work to get it properly running.
A 19th century French gilt bronze bracket clock, with two train striking movement and Pompadour pink porcelain panels. Clock height 37 cm, width 19 cm, raised on a wooded plinth and complete with key and pendulum (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Other than being a little dusty the clock case is in very good condition. The gilding is good throughout with no significant loss. The porcelain panels are not cracked. The movement is fully wound on the left hand facing train. It does wind on the right hand train. The movement is running but does seem to stop after a minute or so. When the hands are advanced it is not striking. The pendulum and key are both present as is the bell. The porcelain dial is in generally good condition with only very minor rubbing to the gilding. There is a small surface chip to the right of the numeral 3. This is a surface chip and the pieces have been reglued but there is some minor loss. This should be visible on our image. It is a minor issue. The wooded base is in generally good order with only minor rubbing to the gilding. The rope twist braiding is loose.
An 18th century oak cased longcase clock by Savage of Clifton, the 26 cm brass dial with chapter ring, spandrels and calendar aperture to the 30 hour movement striking on a bell. Contained in case with turned pillars to hood and shaped trunk door. 214 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: We have the pendulum and weight. The movement appears to be ticking away and striking when advanced. The movement is a little dirty but as stated seemingly operational. The case itself is in generally good condition also. There are no issues with the hood or glass. The trunk door closes as it should and is not warped. The sides of the trunk are in generally good order. The left hand side rear does have some traces of old woodworm which appears in our opinion to be long gone. The base of the case is probably later to the main case but is in good order and in keeping. There is a stress fracture along the join of the two front planks. The bracket feet are in generally good order with only minor surface scuffs.
