The whole terminating in squat stylised bracket feet no. 22/50 (with associated paperwork including a £3,000 insurance valuation conducted in 2002). 53cms high.

A late 18th century walnut cased longcase clock the eight day movement striking on a bell, with square brass dial signed `John Waters London`, with silvered Roman chapter ring, subsidiary seconds, date aperture, pierced steel hands and gilt brass mask spandrels, the walnut case with flared moulded pediment over a square glazed door, the trunk with moulded arched door flanked by canted column pilasters, on a plain plinth base, 74.75in. LATE 18TH CENTURY WELSH OAK THIRTY HOUR LONGCASE CLOCK, by John Bowen of Chirk(?), having broken swan neck pediment above square aperture flanked by bobbin turned pilasters, crossbanded rectangular door to the waist on plain base with bracket feet. 12" Square painted dial with date aperture and shell decoration to the spandrels. 30 Hour movement striking on one bell. 85" High overall.
Louis Vidal (1831-1892) French gilt bronze clock garniture of large proportions, modelled in the neo classical style. The drum head clock is surmounted by a Greek Goddess and is supported by two Pegasus being ridden by putti and raised on a carved alabaster plinth mounted with swags and roundels on pad feet housing an eight day movement, chiming half hourly on a bell. The pair of accompanying eight branch candelabra formed as cornucopia supported by dancing cherubs and raised over fluted alabaster column plinth, adorned with floral swags and husk wreaths. Signed Vidal to the dial and works, clock 21.5 high."
