BARBET Guernsey', with painted figural spandrels emblematic of the seasons and painted moonphase to the arch, the inlaid case with broken arch hood with fluted columns, arched boxwood and ebony trunk door and plain base, 79¼in. (201.5cm.) high.

An early 18th century three pair cased repeating verge pocket watch by John Buschman of London, the movement signed '127 BUSCHMAN LONDON', with gilt pierced foliate and chased plates, Roman style pillars, striking on a bell and with silent action, fronted by a gilt Roman dial with outer Arabic five minute track and decorative chased centre, steel hands, the pierced case back with swans and female masks amidst scrolling foliage, the repoussé and pierced gold outer case chased with a scene of Juno's chariot drawn by peacocks, quartered with figures emblematic of the four continents, within a protective leather and gilt case decorated with pique work and a rope work bezel, with key, the watch 45mm. diameter, the outer case 59mm. diameter.* Condition: The watch winds and runs. The dial and cases appear to be in good condition, with no evident faults or repairs. There is a small stress crack to the one side of the top of the repeat button. Several small flakes from glass at edge where it meets the bezel. Very good overall.

A good early 19th century Channel Islands inlaid mahogany longcase clock, by Michel Quesnel of Jersey, the arched brass dial with silvered Roman chapter ring, gilt brass floral and scroll spandrels, silvered strike/silent dial t arch, matted centre with silvered subsidiary seconds and date aperture, signed to a silvered plaque, fronting an eight day bell strike movement, the case with boxwood strung arched hood with two giltwood finials to the stepped moulded cornice and chamfered pilasters, the trunk with arrow and shell inlaid arched door, over a parquetry banded base with central shell patera, on bracket feet united by a wavy apron, 87in. (221cm.) high.

An 18th century Channel Islands longcase clock by Thomas Naftel, Guernsey, the eight day bell strike movement fronted by a brass arched dial with gilt brass foliate scroll spandrels, the silvered Roman chapter with Arabic outer five minute track and silvered centre engraved with a farmhouse and trees, with subsidiary seconds dial at 12 and date aperture at 6, signed to a roundel in the arch 'Thos André Naftel GUERNESEY', within a typical oak case with tall hood with flared cornice and turned pilasters, base probably reduced in height, 72in. (183cm.) high. * Thomas André Naftel was grandson of Nicolas Blondel, Guernsey's foremost clock maker of the 18th century. Born in 1759 to Blondel's daughter Elizabeth and her husband André Naftel, who died tragically young in 1762, he assisted his grandfather, alongside his mother and brother Nicholas, in his clockmaking business, the two brothers eventually succeeding him in 1775.

A rare George II Channel Islands silver Jersey pattern footed beaker, maker's mark GH with sunburst or crown struck once below rim, also with harp and K marks (Guillaume Henry, Guernsey c.1720-1767), the bell shaped bowl on a short, slightly flared girdled foot, inscribed with initials 'I*L*P' to side, 3in. (7.6cm.) high, weight 3.2 tr.oz.

A Minton parian figure of Miranda designed by John Bell (1811-1895) modelled seated on a rocky outcrop with conch shell at her feet, incised 'Bells Miranda', impressed marks to the base, 39cm high Shown by Minton at the Great Exhibition in 1851, executed for the Art Union of London, and in production over many years, Miranda is one of a series of literary heroines modelled by Bell, following the success of Dorothea. Miranda is the daughter of Prospero in Shakepeare's The Tempest.
