The enamel to the outer case has minor surface scratches but overall presented in excellent condition.

CABRIER OF LONDON; an early to mid-18th century yellow metal pair cased verge pocket watch, the outer case repoussé decorated with Poseidon within a detailed pierced framework in the manner of George Michael Moser, enclosing the watch with domed glass and pierced engraved and detailed case, champlevé enamelled dial set with Roman numerals and Arabic minute markers, unusually inscribed to the centre 'Lady P. 1732', and with beetle and poker hands, the movement signed Cabrier London, with pierced balance cock, square baluster pillars and striking on a bell, dial diameter 3.2cm, case diameter 4.9cm.Additional InformationThe outer case is in good order with no holes, the pierced decoration is slightly worn and a tiny section missing to the upper hinged section around the hinge itself. This forms two losses, on approx 2mm x 2mm, the second approx 4mm x 2mm. The watch itself has a good dial with minor surface wear, the movement ticks when wound and the case has signs of gentle wear only. This has been catalogued as yellow metal as it is unmarked, under a loupe there is evidence of casting bubbles which would not be present if it were gilded.

French Mid 19th Century Belle Epoque Superb Gilt Metal Mantel Clock - by Japy Freres, features figures to front covered carrying handle to top and beaded borders. The clock has a white enamel dial with a French 8 day movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell. The movement as a fixed pendulum to the arbor, rather than a separate pendulum to the crutch, which is known as a tic-tac movement. The movement back plate is stamped with the maker Japy Freres.
