A well engineered 5 inch gauge model of the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad 4-4-0 Locomotive and Tender, built to the drawings and castings of J E S Clarke of Denbigh, with brazed superheated copper boiler and fittings including water and pressure gauge, safety, blower, injector, whistle, steam brake, clack valves and washout plug. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with inside Stephenson's link reversing, detailed big end and coupling rod bearings, ratchet operated lubricator, crosshead driven feedpump and bypass, injector, whistle, steam operated brake gear, dummy sanding box and pipework, lamps, bell, cow-catcher and other details. Tender with hand-operated feed pump, water cock and twin four-wheel bogies. The model finished in blue and red paintwork with polished brightwork. Length 55 3/4 inches x 16 inches. (141.5cm x 40.5cm).
