The hands are replacements, there is a lump of blutac to the movement - it's purpose is unknown, this needs removal before use can be attempted. Holingue frères, a French carriage clock the eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell with push repeat to sound the last hour at will, and with alarm, the backplate stamped with the serial number 204 and within with the initials H.L. for the blanc roulant maker Holingue frères of Saint Nicolas d'Aliermont and numbered 6689, the white enamel dial having black Roman numerals, a subsidiary alarm dial and blued steel moon hands, the Corniche variant case with a three-bale handle, height 15.5cm handle up, 13cm handle down.* Biography Jean-Francois and the younger Louis Holingue worked in the clockmaking town of Saint-Nicolas-d'Aliermont as Holingue frères, with the trademark initials H.L. stamped to the frontplate of each movement, and manufactured the blancs roulant, (rough movements) for a number of well-known makers such as Paul Garnier, Athanase Bourdin and Bolviller. The brothers sold their workshops and equipment to Alfred Drocourt in 1875, having been the main supplier to Drocourt since 1854, the year Pierre Drocourt founded the business.

Elliott Ltd, London with a selection lever for either Westminster or Whittington chimes, the square brass dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals and cast-brass spandrels, with blued steel trefoil hands, the bell-top ebonised case with applied gilt-brass mounts and handle, with instructions within the back door, height 32cm including handle.

Thomas Mudge, London, a late-Victorian lantern mantle clock the eight-day duration, double-fusee movement striking the hours on a bell set within the bell straps, the brass dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, with blued steel hands and engraved to the centre Thomas Mudge, the brass case with turned pillars and finials, cast-brass cresting, engraved decoration and inscription to the bell dated 17th Dec 1901, height 37cm.
Louis Moinet à Paris, a bronze and marble mantle clock the eight-day duration movement having a silk suspension and striking the hours and half-hours on a bell with an outside countwheel and stamped for the maker L. Moinet à Paris, the round silvered dial having black Roman numerals and blued steel moon hands within a black marble pillar seated on a rouge marble base with a bronze figure of a classical woman to the side next to an ormolu lamp and books, with applied classical ormolu mounts, height 55cm.* Biography Lois Moinet was a fine maker, born in Bourges in 1768, and was at one time secretary to the famed horloger Abraham-Louis Breguet, clockmaker to Royalty and the gentry, and helped in the publication of Breguet's Traité d'Horlogerie, taking notes and making drawings for his master. In 1848, aged seventy-five, he published his own Traité having parted company with Breguet in 1823. In 1851 he showed a chronometer at the Great Exhibition and died in 1853.Reference: Tardy Dictionnaire des Horlogers Francais.

Nathaniel Voyce, Mitchell Deane, a walnut longcase clock the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell and with brass-bound weights, the twelve-inch square brass dial having ringed winding holes to the dial centre, a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, with the raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, half-hour fleur-de-lys markings and signed Nathaniel Voyce, Mitchell Deane, female-head cast-brass corner spandrels and blued-steel hands (damaged), the flat-top walnut case with a bulls-eye glass to the trunk door, with the hood having a blind fret to the top and three-quarter turned columns, height 213cm.Nathaniel Voyce, born 1705, is a well-recorded maker from a large family of clockmakers who worked in Mitcheldeane, Gloucestershire until his death in 1770. Rayment, Stow Markett an oak longcase clock the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell with the twelve-inch brass break-arch dial with wheatear border engraving and having ringed winding holes to the centre with a subsidiary seconds dial and engraved decoration surrounding the date aperture, with the raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, fleur-de-lys half-hour markings and signed W. Rayment, Stow Markett, with blued steel hands, the arch fully engraved with floral and rococo decoration, the oak case having a pediment top with giltwood flame finials and fluted columns to the hood, height 215cm.Biography: William Rayment is a well-known maker working in Stowmarket, Suffolk and quite probably related to the eminent maker Richard Rayment of Bury St. Edmunds. He married Rebecca Richardson in October 1706 and became a prominent citizen with one of his positions being Overseer of the Poor in 1711.
