An imposing Oak and Mahogany cased eight-day Longcase Clock having boxwood inlay and cross-banded decoration, the painted face with Roman numerals, inset second hand with floral decoration to the corners and shell decoration to the arch, marked Madinson Donnington, the hood flanked by fluted pillars and having a scroll pediment and eagle and globe finial, 23'' wide x 95'' high approx., This timepiece is in working order appearing to keep good time and strikes the hours on a bell.

Case of oak and inlaid mahogany typical of the Cheshire area with square fluted quarter columns to the trunk. Case and winding keys included and a service report from Eric Gent 1993. 200 cm tall. Thomas Richardson is listed in Loomes as working 1795, there is also a John Richardson, Northwich who may be related.
