A silver and tortoiseshell oval trinket box, later applied a plaque decorated a pug dog Condition report Report by NG The box is hallmarked London 1924, but the pug plaque is modern and applied recently. Silver box has been repaired to reverse. Legs bent, front left as you look at it pushed back in. Old polish in bell flower border.

LATE 18th/EARLY 19th CENTURY OAK EIGHT DAY COTTAGE LONG CASE CLOCK BY WALTER ARCHER OF STOW-ON-THE-WOLD [SIC]. The case with alterations and additions including fretted pediment over mahogany frieze with square aperture flanked by turned pillars, the waist with mahogany cross banding to the plain moulded door flanked by canted angles on a cross banded panel, panelled and skirted base. Brass face with Roman numerals, seconds dial and date aperture with pierced cherub spandrels. 10.5" x 10.5" (27cm square). Eight day two train movement striking on one bell. 84" high overall (207cm) approx. CONDITION REPORT: Overall the clock is in good condition, some alterations and additions to the case but basically sound and useable. Movement appears complete although date number has fallen away from its aperture. Detailed condition report on request.
19th CENTURY MAHOGANY CASED 8 DAY LONG CASED CLOCK BY ROBERT CAIHILL of WELLINGTON, the imposing case having hood with broken swan neck pediment mounted with brass eagle finials over an arched aperture flanked by bobbin turned columns, the waist with triple pointed arch cross banded door, flanked by further bobbin turned columns, above a cross banded oval panelled base on outswept bracket feet. Eight day, two train movement, striking on one bell. The face painted with a full length portrait of a military gentleman, possibly the Duke of Wellington, and having floral spandrals, Arabic numerals and seconds dial. Face 21.5" x 15" (55 x 38 cms). Overall height 104" overall. (267 cms approx). CONDITION REPORT: Some minor areas of cracking and missing veneer. A little faded generally but appearing complete. The near loss to the upper frieze on one side noticeable.
18th CENTURY WELSH OAK 30 HOUR LONG CASE CLOCK BY RICHARD WATKIN, having flat topped hood over square aperture flanked by turned pillars, the waist with pointed arch door on a plain panelled base with skirted support. 11" square dial with Roman numerals and arched date aperture, foliate pierced spandrels. 30 hour movement with baluster pillars, striking on one bell. 84" high approx. (218cm) CONDITION REPORT: Overall good condition, some minor wear and tear commensurate with age to the case, a little scuffed and worn in places with minor additions, appearing complete.
LATE 18th CENTURY WELSH OAK EIGHT DAY LONG CASE CLOCK BY HUGH ISAAC OF LLANGWILLOG (YNYS MON/ANGLESEY). Cottage style case with moulded cornice over square aperture flanked by turned pillars, the waist with shaped door flanked by quarter reeded pilasters on a panelled skirted base. Square brass face with silvered chapter ring and engraved silver field, having seconds dial and date aperture, with pierced gilt metal masque spandrels. Eight day four pillar movement striking on one bell. (Hugh Isaac married 1757, lived in Penlon, Llangwillog adjacent to the village church.) c. 1795. The face 12.5" square (32cm), overall 77" high. CONDITION REPORT: Overall in good condition, the case evidently having had some restoration and replacements. The face appearing resilvered and painted.
WELSH OAK EIGHT DAY LONG CASE CLOCK marked John Evans of Welshpool, having broken swan neck pediment above arched aperture flanked by turned baluster pillars, the waist with pointed arched cross-banded and inlaid door flanked by quarter reeded pilasters on a panelled base with bracket feet. Arch painted face with seconds dial and date aperture, having figure portrait to the arch and cottage spandrels. Eight day, two train movement striking on one bell. Face 18" x 13", case 87" high overall. C. 1840. CONDITION REPORT: Good overall condition. The case has certain flaking to the paint and has been re-painted at some stage. Basically good overall. Detailed condition report on request.
18th CENTURY BRASS FACED 30 HOUR CLOCK MOVEMENT BY BENET [sic] EDWARDS OF DEREHAM, within a later associated oak case for a clock having an arched face. Single train movement striking on one bell. Face 11" square (27.5cm) CONDITION REPORT: The case itself is average, lacking to the cresting, added skirt, not original to the movement. The movement lacks its bell, brass face is in good condition. Detailed report on request.
