A George III mahogany and oak long case clock, the break arch dial painted with shells, thistles, rose and bird, chapter ring bearing Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, two train eight day movement, with bell strike, the hood with swan neck pediment and turned brass finials, line inlay and fluted columns, the trunk with fluted quarter pilasters, raised on a shallow plinth base, with pendulum, 218cm H.

Storrs, London, c 1820, 29½” overall, bell mouth barrel 14” with octagonal breech bearing Birmingham proofs, engraved London in gothic script, and with 12½” spring bayonet released by thumb catch on breech tang, flat stepped lock with safety bolt, rainproof pan and roller on frizzen spring, the plate engraved with scrolls and ‘J. Storrs’, walnut fullstock with finely chequered twist, engraved steel mounts, brass tipped wooden ramrod with concealed worm. GWO & generally untouched condition, (dark patina to metalwork, with some surface rust and light pitting to steel parts). Plate 14

Bond, 59 Lombard Street London’ in ovals, with sunburst, stand of flags and foliage; plain walnut slab butt with shield shaped silver escutcheon. GWO & C (lightly worn overall). An unusual small late 18th century brass barrelled flintlock blunderbuss, 16” overall, 2 stage bell mouth barrel 6¾”, being nearly 1¾” at the muzzle, a raised panel at the breech stamped ‘J. Finch/ N.York’ in oval, and with spurious crown over ‘GR’; stepped lock with pigeon breasted cock, stamped ‘T. Ketland & Co’ (the last part indistinct), dark walnut fullstock with brass mounts, including French style trigger guard, British ordnance pattern side plate recently machine engraved with serial number 0010320, and apparently originally having a belt hook; with brass tipped ebony ramrod. Generally GC (age wear and patina overall, action fails to hold on full cock, lock lightly pitted).
