A late 19c French mantle clock in ormolu case decorated with blue Paris porcelain. The 3.5""diam blue porcelain dial has Roman numerals and butterfly designs to the centre, below is a plaque depicting a couple in a landscape which is flanked by two blue and gilt porcelain columns, the clock is surmounted by a blue porcelain urn with gilt handles and mounts and the ormolu body of the case is decorated with garlands and leaf designs. The two train circular movement is rack striking on a bell and the clock stands on a black wooden base and under an oval glass dome, 21"" tall overall.
A mid 19c French skeleton clock designed for the Great Exhibition. The single train movement has silk pendulum suspension regulated by the disc above the dial and the `A` shaped plates are engraved. This version has an alarm mechanism in the base wound by a cord and set by a panel operating on the disc in the centre of the white enamel dial (bell missing). It is mounted on its original ebonised base and has an oval glass dome over it, 10"" tall overall.
A late 19c French mantle clock in the Art Nouveau taste, the gilt metal case having scrolling and leaf forms and being surmounted by a gilt urn with female head medallions as decoration. The pendulum bob is similarly decorated and the case has six leaf formed feet which sit on a six pointed giltwood base, the movement is countwheel striking on a bell and has 4""diam gilt dial with circular numeral plaques in blue enamel, the clock 16"" tall overall.
