A late 18th century 30-hour longcase movement, dial and seatboard with chain and lead doughnut weight. The dial is an excellent example of the early style painting by Wilson, with the characteristic stylised bird and strawberry flowers, the imprinted Maltese cross to the rear of the dial plate confirming the painter.
