Both pairs with tiny indentations to the extremities.The bell: The metal is tarnished, wear to the wood clapper, slight verdigris to the endless knot.

The hammer strikes the bell with a bright ring. The case in overall good condition - two of the brass feet are slightly loose, the brass overall in fair condition with some light marks and scratches throughout, some general surface dirt, the silvered dial and hands in good condition. There is a winding key with the lot.

The escapement has been altered to an anchor from the verge, the dial is clean having original silvering which is pitted and marked in areas. The case is in good condition, the inner masking has patched veneers around the edge of the movement, and the door locks to the front and rear are missing and have been patched with a later timber.

The case is in good untouched condition with no splits or replacements. The edge of the trunk has tiny dumps to the veneer. The movement is complete and runs well, the seat board is original nad the movement is clean. The painted dial has original ground, the numerlas have been touched up in places and the ground has light surface scratches.

The 11" square brass dial with masked pierced gilt spandrels and Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted engraved centre with penny moon and calendar apertures fronting a weight-driven movement with latched pillars and numbered front plate, outside countwheel striking the hours on a bell.209.5cm highThe cheeks under the seatboard have been blocked up to raise the dial in the hood which suggests the movement isn't original to the case, one of the blocks is missing. The case has splits in the sides of the trunk, and a shrinkage crack on the base panel, the movement is complete and working but may need a service.

Fronting an eight-day double fusee movement with suigned backplate, anchor escapement and striking the hours on a bell. The arched case with hinged doors and carrying handle to the top.38cm high handle down.The Georgian mahogany case has a small patch to the bottom of the front door and a small piece of moulding missing from the arch of the back of the case. The movement is original to the dial but associated with the case. It is in working condition ticking and striking correctly, it has an unusual striking mechanism where it strikes the hours on a large bell and also strikes the hours at half past on a smaller bell.

The case is very clean with no issues. the movment id complete and comes with pendulum and weight.

The dial has hairline cracks running from the centre outwards. The movement is complete and the alarm functions correctly, however it does not strike the hours so will require attention. Both springs on the time and strike sides are working.  It has its original cylinder escapement which is ticking. The movement would strike the hours and half hours as it does set up ready to strike. Doesnt seem to set up after the scheduled strike. The aperture on the top of the case is 35mm diameter.

There is a tiny chip to the top corner of the back door glass, no other damaged panels. No cracks, chips, or restoration to the dial. the movement is complete, the balance wheel isn't rotating but the staff isn't damaged. The strike and repeat mechanism is working but not striking the correct hours. Can't see any makers marks.

A GEORGE III PAD TOP MAHOGANY BRACKET CLOCK the case with brass moulded centre pad and folding handle above a glazed door enclosing a 7.5" arched brass dial with gilt spandrels and silvered Roman chapter ring surrounding a silvered signed centre, the arch with Strike/Silent dial fronting a signed eight-day double fusee movement with five knopped pillars and engraved border to the backplate striking on a bell42cm high The case has been repolished and the two top side moulds have been replaced, the back door has some splits and repaired patched of veneer and the lock is missing, the mask around the dial has also had some repairs. The dial has fine stress cracks and some discolouration to the silvering. The movement, which is original to case and dial, has been converted from verge to anchor escapment and is ticking but the strike isn't stopping sand will need attention.

There are losses to the veneer on the edges of the drop box, the dial has been repainted, the movement is complete and does run but the pendulum isn't original.

The side doors are missing. The alarm mechanism is missing. The verge has been replaced; probably reconverted back from anchor. Bell straps are original. Light surface rust to the steelwork. The pendulum is attached to the movement as it is a verge. No weight. The top finial has lost its tip.

A PARIS 1735' fronting a signed eight-day spring driven movement striking the hours on a bell.35cm highA very nice original clock, the case has its original gilt finish, which has slight pitting and wear to the edges and base of the elephant. the drumhead top gilding has warn away. The movement is loose to the case but is complete and ticks and strikes the hours correctly when wound, but we cannot guarantee mechanical movements. the clock has its pendulum and there are small chips around the winding holes and small damage to the edge of the dial next to 9 o'clock. There is a missing screw that holds the clock to the elephant's back.

The case has some detached mouldings above the door which are present. The movement is running and striking the correct hours, repeating the correct quarters. The back cock looks to have been replaced and the strike silent lever is missing. The verge escapement has probably been reconverted but if so has been done very well with no signs of plugged holes. The pull quarter repeat mechanism loos to be original to the clock and so do the brackets, they are made from the same coloured brass.

The hands have been possibly replaced. The movement which is original to the dial and case has its original verge escapement and looks to have been recently serviced and is in nice working condition striking the correct hours, and comes with winding keys and door keys.

The movement is complete, with original verge escapement and rise and fall pendulum. It ticks when wound but is dirty, and would benefit from cleaning and servicing. The case has its original colour and polish, the top has a small split running from front to back underneath the handle. the sound frets on the side have small losses around the veneer. the silvered dial is original and has scratch marks and stains consistent with age. The front door lock has a working key. No winding key.

The dial original gilding and the chapter ring seems to have been resilvered. The movement is complete and in working condition with original verge escapement, striking the correct hours on the original bell. There are no plugged holes in the backplate, and no obvious signs that the movement is associated but in our opinion the case is continental.
