A Christmas Card 1916 published by Raphael Tuck & Sons Ltd, the card decorated with a winter scene entitled `Somme `pudding` rifles, swords and a field gun` under the heading `Xmas 1916`. The writing on the inside of the card indicates that this was the divisional christmas card and this one was directed to a Mrs D Bell from her husband serving in France, Will.

Lot 180

A French four glass clock made in 1986 by Epee and sold as a limited edition of 2500 by Franklin Mint (this clock no.869). It was made to commemorate the re-dedication of the Statue of Liberty and has a gilt brass case with fluted corner columns and bevel glass panels and has a silhouette of the Statue of Liberty behind the mercury pendulum. The clock has a music box in the base which alternately plays `The star spangled banner` and the French National Anthem on the hour. The circular movement has a visible `Brocot` escapement on the dial and strikes hours and halves on a bell. The clock stands 13"" high and has its original box, mercury pendulum and bell are missing.
