Note: Henry Simcock is recorded working in Daventry (also known as Daintree) circa 1714. See Baillie (GH) Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World, p.292. 36 x 26.50cm (14 x 10in) ConditionLooks to have been repolished / cleaned. With later wall bracket. Seatboard nailed to supporting blocks. Repeating work/train may be a 20th century replacement or addition. Appears fully wound. Currently ticking but not tested for any duration. I suspect refurbished 20 or 30 years ago when purchased. Has a crank wind key and case key. See photos.

Several clocks of similar design have appeared on the market in recent years. converted from verge to anchor escapement.Conditionconverted from verge to anchor escapement.  Later retaining brackets for movement backplate into case.  Currently ticking but not striking/chiming.
