William Wood, Tadcaster - a Victorian eight day mahogany cased long case clock, the painted 14" dial with figural arch and shell spandrel, with subsidiary seconds and date dials, the movement striking on a bell, the swan neck pediment hood to a case with inlaid boxwood and ebony stringing, pendulum, two weights, height 232 cm. Wood is listed as working from the High Street in 1829.
Thomas Turnbull, Whitby - a Victorian 30 hour painted dial pine cased long case clock, the 12" dial with horse and cart arch and buildings to the spandrels, date aperture, the movement striking on a bell, the swan neck pediment hood to a mahogany and boxwood inlaid case, pendulum, one weight, height 225 cm. Turnbull worked from 1823-1840.
