The case formed with rococo scrolls, pierced panels and flower heads houses an eight day cylinder movement striking hourly on an bell and stamped Lay Fnt, Pge Jouffroy 29. With enamel dial having Roman and Arabic numeral markers, 37cm. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. With key and pendulum. Case and dial in good order. Right hand spring broken.

A rare Worcester bell shaped mug with moulded loop handle printed with the Minuet and Haymakers patterns c1758 along with a Worcester mug and sparrow beak jug both printed with ruins. Mug 8.5cm (3). Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Mug with a repaired crack and handle repaired. Jug with heavy chipping to the rim and a hair crack. Cup with a rim chip.

A French spelter mantle clock modelled as a cherub and animals in a Rococo manner, measuring 13.5" tall, with a bell striking movement. CONDITION REPORT: In fair condition, some cracks to the enamel dial an lacking its glass cover. The movement requires attention, it will wind up and start working, then stop abruptly.

A collection of books on the subject of Cookery, to include various hand-written examples giving various recipes not only for meals but also for medicines and poisons, etc (20) CONDITION REPORTS Includes six manuscript books and one unbound ribboned velum manuscript. Velum piece inscribed "Recipes and Formulas for the manufacture of Cordials Excisable and Non Excisable - Fruit Syrups, Essences, Extracts and etc - Awarded thirty-five Gold and Silver Medals for purity and general excellence". Thirteen sheets in all - see images for examples. Obviously has been folded for some time, folds very defined. Other manuscripts include: 1.Black clothboard bound edition with tooled leather spine and corners, with lettered index to front and various numbered pages including various recipes and remedies in various pencil, ink, sepia etc. 2. Fabric covered bearing calendar to interior for 1903 and 1904, ownership inscription "Frances M Wuff Recipe Book...." see images for sample pages. 3. "Recipe Book - F.R. Bell" in marbled board binding with tooled and gilded leather spine, re-bound, stamped to interior "F R Bell Chymist Middlesborough" upon inspection interior appears to pre-date binding. 4. Tooled and gilded calf-bound example bearing previous purchase price "£250.00" black ink/sepia interior including recipes such as "Two pickled cucumbers = My Mothers - To collar a calves head- Mary Barnes - To hash a calves head - To brown butter - a recipe to cure an asthma, tincture of myrrh - To cure an ague etc etc. 5. Marbled board covered with leather spine (very damaged) ownership inscription to frontice "M Dighton" including recipes "To make blamange - Dutch Cream - Regency Cake - Roll'd up Gingerbread - Bread Sauce from the Queen (dated 1877) etc etc 6.Marbled board bound with brown suede spine bearing ownership name to interior "Ridley" with indistinct no. or date including recipes "To Gild Sheets of Paper", "Burnished Gilding on Glass", "Orange Brandy" etc with several blank sheets to the interior with further script, poetry, prose, quotes, various drawings, cartoons etc - see images for examples
A 19th Century Black Forest type carved cased mantle clock, decorated in high relief with cockerel, chicken and chicks, the 8-day French movement with enamelled Roman numerals to the chapter ring, 34 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Appears to be in good order throughout with no areas of loss though top left over 11 o'clock there are signs of cracking and a flattened area in the wheastsheaf suggesting loss, but appears either to be original or have been missing for some time, the cracking we believe to be part of the original construction - see images for further information. Movement stamped verso "M-488", the bell stamped "L.M. Brete S.G.D.G". Overall condition good though in need of a sympathetic clean as dusty throughout
A circa 1900 silver posy holder on spring tripod stand (Barnet Henry Joseph, Birmingham) and a late George III silver gilt baby's rattle (London, marks rubbed) total weight 4.1oz CONDITION REPORTS Posy holder missing one leaf and two sections of pierced gallery to the top. Remainder of pierced gallery dented. Base with visible screw thread i.e. appears to have something missing. Appears to be on a spring pulling out and retracting when let go. Main body basically sound. Rattle with large crack below the whistle at thinnest point. Hole at other end between two bells, one bell to centre section missing i.e. three our of four. Teether missing and dented to lip where it once was. Hallmark extant but worn. With surface scratching, wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout - see images for further information
