A York Minster bell metal snuffbox, dated 1840, inscribed "Bell Metal, York Minster, Burnt May 20th 1840", with receipt from Rupert Gentle 2000 £550. Diameter 94 mm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: We can see no evidence of any damage, repairs or restoration to this lot. The top and bottom fit together correctly and there is no movement.
